About Me
Ever since I was a kid I always wanted to get into fitness due to me being influenced by my peers. In 10th grade I bought a membership at LAFitness thinking I could look like the people in movies. Due to my rookie mentality I gave up straight away and did not persevere through. I honestly thought it would have been easy to built muscle but I was wrong. Here I am, now in 12th grade and trying to get back into fitness by persevering through 1 month of intense Fitness. Hopefully this time my determination won’t let me down.

My Stretch Routine
Journal
December 5 2019:
Today I officially start my 1 month straight of fitness. First day in I feel like I tore my whole body apart just by using the elliptical. Everything hurts. That might be on my part, I forgot to stretch before exercising. Honestly I can’t even remember the basics of exercising. Also my throat was so dry the whole time I was doing my exercise, I almost felt like vomiting. Half way through my sit up I felt a stomach cramp. All and all it was a hectic first day of workout.
Accomplishment:
- I was able to do 20 minutes of elliptical without stopping
- I persevered through the workout
- I was able to achieve my first week requirements
Improvements:
- Exercise before workout
- Bring a water bottle
- Get better form
- Better breathing form
December 6 2019:
Two days in I feel a bit better, except for the fact that all my muscles feel like they have been ripped apart. Once again my throat was dry the whole time so next time I will bring a water bottle. The whole way throughout the workout I could feel my whole body burning up. The worst part about the workout was when I tried to pick up something from the ground and got a stomach cramp. It took me 10 minutes to be able to pick up my phone.
Accomplishment:
- Still had the mindset to continue
Improvements:
- I still forgot my bottle
- Exercise before starting
- I need to get shoes
- Better breathing form
December 7 2019:
I had people over so I wasn’t able to do my workout. Well kinda workout by going up and down stairs bringing water and food.
December 8 2019:
4th day and I feel like I’ve experienced hell. Yesterday I wasn’t able to workout because family was over so I lost my momentum. In the first 10m of running, my stomach was hurting so bad it felt like my insides were being poked with a pin. I tried drinking water because my throat was dried, made it even worse. At the end I got a stomach cramp due to drinking water while I was going fast on the elliptical. Almost forgot I got shoes now and my feet don’t hurt anymore.
Accomplishment:
- Persevered even though i felt loads of pain
- I got shoes to do my exercise now
Improvements:
- Don’t drink water while going fast on the elliptical (Slow down before drinking)
- I need to push myself more than i set my goal for
- Improve my push up form
- Better breathing form
December 9 2018:
5th day in and I feel like it keeps getting worse and worse everyday. I literally couldn’t walk after doing 20 minutes on the elliptical. I almost fell off the stairs while going upstairs to get water. After finally regaining my leg strengths I did the maximum amount of push up I could. As I started my push up I got the most painful stomach cramp imaginable which made me gave up the work out for the day. Pretty disappointed in myself today but hopefully I won’t get a stomach cramp tomorrow.
Accomplishments:
- Still have a positive mindset on my workout
- Resisting the cramp
Improvements:
- I need to get better push up form (The cramp happened because I went to quick and messed up my breathing)
- Better breathing form
- My plank game lacking(i need to put more effort in my plank form)
December 10 2019:
6th day in and I’m starting to get used to my workout routine. Went 20 minutes on the elliptical with 6 incline and 6 difficulty without any real problems except for the fact that my back was hurting. The only difficulty in my fitness routine now are my push up and plank. I can’t go over 1m of plank and 10 push up. Hopefully through time I will be able to improve them.
Accomplishments:
- I don’t feel cramp that much anymore
- Elliptical is getting less and less harder
Improvements:
- Improve my push up form
- Improve my plank form(I’m not achieving my best)
December 11 2019:
7th day in and I stop feeling stomach pain from my cardio. The only thing that I feel is the dryness in my throat. If I try to clear that dryness it feel like I am eating a ball. All in all the workout went well except for the fact that I still cant get pass 10 push up and 1 minute of plank.
Accomplishments:
- Stomach cramp is not a problem no more
Improvements:
- Improve my push up form
- Improve my plank form(Still not being able to achieve my best)
December 12 2019:
8th day in and now I feel like my workout is starting to become a part of my daily life. So far everything is going well. Now every time i start a workout I drink before hand instead of while I do it. Personally I do this because I am not experience in drinking while exercising. If I accidentally drink while going to fast my stomach will start to hurt like crazy. A goal I still haven’t achieved yet is that I still cant get over 1 minutes of plank. Hopefully tomorrow ill be able to get it higher by a couple of seconds. Pretty good work out so far.
Accomplishments:
- Dry throat doesn’t hurt that much
- I keep doing more sit up everyday
Improvements:
- Get over 1 minutes of plank
December 13 2019:
9th day in so far and everything is going well. Today my leg were hurting a bit at the start but I started to get used to it at the end. Honestly feel like my body is getting more resistant to these type of pain. Today I was able to do plank for 1 minutes and five seconds. Might not be an improvement for some of us but to me this is a big accomplishment. Honestly I hope I can keep getting couple more seconds higher every time now. Pretty happy with today workout.
Accomplishments:
- Got over 1 minutes of plank
Improvements:
- Keep getting higher and higher time on my plank
December 14 2019:
10th day in and I wasn’t able to workout for the second time in the month. I had to help my uncle with my baby cousins birthday party. Well if lifting drink and food count as a work out then yes i kind of did workout.
December 15 2019:
11th day in to my workout and I lost my momentum for the second time. At the start i forgot to stretch which made it so I had more chance of getting injured or get a cramp. The elliptical went well but when it came to doing sit ups, push up and plank that when the cramp came in. I got a stomach and neck cramp both at the same time. Honestly the neck cramp went away after i smacked my neck but the stomach kept coming back. Today wasnt so bad because i got use to the cramp so i was able to pull through and finish my daily workout. Tommorow I will change my workout routine on the elliptical to 9 incline and 9 difficulty. Hopefully i can pull through.
Accomplishments:
- Was able to persevere through my weekly expectation
- I kept going even tho i felt cramps
- Even when i lose my momentum i can still pull through
Improvements:
- Dont forget to stretch before working out
December 16 2019:
12th day in and now i started doing 9 incline and 9 difficulty on the elliptical. The start was pretty tiring and hard but after a good 10 minutes i started to get used to it. At the end my legs were hurting a lot but i pulled through and got over my daily workout. Today is the end of my monthly workout because i am leaving on a trip after tomorrow
December 17-19 2019:
Yesterday was my last day of training from home because I am going on a trip to madinah/Makkah. So basically these three day i had to pack my stuff and help my mom do the luggage for the trip from the 17th to the 18th and the 19th was the day i left Canada. Honestly if lifting luggage count as a workout i guess that was my daily training for those 3 days.
December 20 – January 2 2020:
So this is a brief summary of my somewhat training throughout my whole trip. So basically 5 time a day i had to walk 10 minutes to the mosque and 20 minutes back from the mosque because it was always packed all the time. I also climbed a mountain which was pretty hard because of the killer heat. In my experience 20 second in the sun and you start feeling like your being cooked alive. I feel like I trained more mentally than physically while my trip. Basically the drivers there are crazy, like they don’t follow driving rule because they make there own lane when they drive and don’t follow the lane marked on the asphalt. This is what shocked me the most, have you ever seen a driver do reverse on a highway just because he missed the exit. Like that shook me hard i was pretty scared cant lie. And the last thing about the drivers is that they are on there phone 90% of the time and only look at the road 10% of the time, literally had a guy taking photo while driving. Anyways that was my some what (ish) training throughout my trip.

Conclusion:
Now that I have finally completed my 1 month (ish) of training i would like to say that this has been a good experience for me and feel like i will take some of these workout routine with me for the future. Week by week I have been training and I physically and mentally feel better and sleep better which is a huge improvement for me because i used to be tired all the time. Honestly this experience showed me that fitness is big thing in life and if done daily can help a person get better sleep and just be healthy in general. To conclude this has been a very eye opening experience for me which will be with me my whole life.
